Glass Recycling Wakefield
Usually, our Double Flow program requires customers to pre-sort recyclable commingled things (ie. glass, plastic and aluminum) individually from papers (newspaper, magazines, office paper, etc.). Both commingled things and paper are set out on the curb and collected by two trucks, or a truck that’s divided in half, on their pickup day.
Acreage is at a premium, energy prices are soaring, and environmental impact has turned into a concern shared by all. Making more with less. Every pound we recycle out of the waste flow is one less pound we have to mine, smelt or mill. Cans become more cans. Paper becomes insulating material. Steel finds its way back into autos. All of which uses less energy, preserves our natural resources and decreases the waste we generate.
